Ephemeral Assemblages

 

Through experimental-led making, tacit and embodied experience, and openness to unexpected events, the sculptural assemblages are created  from found objects and oranigc matter. 

 

Ephemeral Assemblages are created in a primitive manner through rational refusal to use tools but relying entirely on body and simple solutions, they embrace active decay in which the material falls, breaks, deforms, decomposes or warps. These assemblages are perceived as events happening in a specific framed temporality (three hours, a few days, etc.)  and the results of these artworks are collected in a digital form through photography and video recordings evidencing that in the unique place of the studio, where the assemblages are produced, the sculptures are closest to their own reality. The sculptural work and its surrounding space are thus two connected volumes that interact in a dynamic way giving concreteness to time.
