Drawings and sculptures from Mihaela Vujnovic, the presenter of the young generation of artists that is part of the BBK Leipzig will exhibit her works with drawings and etchings of Axel Bertram who presents the generation that is already 40 years part of this well known German art society. This dialogue, as a kind of experiment, reveals the Leipzig art scene to us, providing the opportunity for different readings, connections and reflections on the past and future of art, as well as the role of artists in society.

 

Axel's works draw inspiration in natural forms such as bushes, branches, structures and the like. Artworks are created in such a way that the viewer can hardly penetrate the pictorial space which also reduces the narrative moment and allows one to reflect on one's own relationship to nature.

 

Mihaela's drawings are an attempt at colorful storytelling, directed at her surroundings and inspired by an abundance of strange lines that exist or seem to exist in natural word as well as in our won nature.
