Printmaking Art Residency: Editions Bucialli, Colmar

The printmaking art residency took place from 10 until 30 September 2023

At the invitation of the graphic workshop Editions Bucciali, located in Colmar, France, I had the opportunity to realize a series of new, original etchings. The inspiration for this project is the medieval polyptych The Insenheim Altarpiece, which is located in Colmar in the former monastery, now the Unterlinden Museum. I realized a series of new abstract etchings and 30 copies of each will be printed in the workshop in the following months. During the work process, I was supported with the technical staff, Remy Bucciali and Mitsuo Shiraishi. This intensive stay, which included inspiration, design, realization and printing of a first proofs of etchings will be presented to the public in a form of a solo exhibition in 2024.
