Mihaela Vujnovic (1989, Croatia) lives and works as an independent visual artist in Leipzig, Germany. She graduated with an MFA in painting from the ENSAN in France and obtained a BFA and her second MFA degree, both in painting, at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.

Her multidisciplinary artistic work focuses on drawing, painting, sculpture and installation. Inspired by nature, her works are created in series in various formats, suspended between abstraction and figuration, mixing organic forms, more artificial and constructed elements and graphic partitions evolving from caresses to scratches. The colours, sometimes highly saturated, sometimes organised in more sober, mineral variations, also play an important role, building or reinforcing a particular rhythm. Most of her artworks or exhibitions have a revealing title. Depending on the case, it may simply set an ephemeral mood, induce bafflement or suggest an opening.
